Of course there is always a chance. I have dark blonde hair( as a child it was light blonde) my hubby's hair is pretty close to black.. 2 of our kids have light brown hair and 1 has light blonde hair. Ya never know!

I am assuming that by "ginger hair" you mean red hair..??

Unfortunately, there is NO way of determining what COLOR your offspring's hair color (or eye color, for that matter) will be. The reason? No matter "where" {your nan?} the ginger hair "came from", any person in your blood line, could be carrying a different gene, and even if that gene is a recessive gene {as is ginger or red colored hair}, it may still overcome the dominant traits {such as brown hair} based upon which combinations of genes are present.

Bottom line: please love your child no matter what color he/she's hair is [ginger, red, green, or otherwise]. Focus on having a happy %26amp; healthy pregnancy!

If your child is then you will both be very lucky. RED hair is beautiful - I was desperate for a red-haired child and all mine are either boring brown or blond. Me and my husband were both disappointed, but the main thing is your child is healthy.

All through my life I have never once had the mick took out of me because of my hair infact it has been the opposite. You always stand out from the crowd and people notice you so if your child does have red hair remember to tell them how special they are.

A lot of ginger hair is caused by one parent being blonde and the other parent having brown orblack hair.
