Why cant people just shut up and stop assuming!?

I have a cousin and her mother wuz born in trinidad and her father from puerto rico. she is light skinned long hair. long hair just run in our family anyways. so her mother, me ect..have long hair. when i walk around with her people assume she is white. they assume i am part white. they also assume my aunt wears weave. i have some white relatives but tht doesnt make me white n the kids at school says im part white and tht i am almost light skinned which proves it?! im like ur not making any sense! and its really annoying when they assume! they tease me and my cousin. they are always running their hands through our hair and find no signs of fake hair. what makes it worse they tell evryone (teachers, parents ect....)

about our so called unknown heritage! people keep telling us what we are and treat us weird. do ppl just assume a light skinned person with long hair is white or sumthing? i know you guys are gunna say get over it ect......but wut should we do? why dont they ask wat we r?

You know what I hate that. I had long hair and people would always ask if I was mixed and it got annoying after awhile. I say stop them when they try to run their fingers through your hair and tell them once what you're if they can't accept your answer then just ignore them.

Don't put up with it! Shave your head!

Why cant people just shut up and stop assuming!?

u dont need that. end it now

Why cant people just shut up and stop assuming!?

People always assume that I'm mixed with something, just because I have long black hair and I am light skin. People will come up and say what are you mixed with? Not asking me if i am mixed just assuming that I am. I always tell them I'm not mixed just blessed. Or I will either act as if I'm surprised that they asked....like what? mixed with what? what do you mean? That makes them feel real stupid for asking, I have had a lot of people apologize to me for assuming after doing that.
