i cant stand them, there so fake crying about how there lives are so hard. my little brother pretends to be emo/animal rights activist its so dumb he crys over evrything. my dad cant stand his bs either and his greasy long hair how do i make him stop?

yeah, but the good news is that they're starting to become extinct at my school. a few weeks ago one of the most hardcore emos in the area started wearing hollister.

To get him to stop I would just leave it. Its almost guarenteed to be a phase, and ur probably just encouraging him to become even more emo by getting pissed at him. Also, try to be nice to him and hang out w/ him a little. As a younger brother, my older brother has influenced how I do things, and if ur nice about it u can maybe show him that the emo lifestyle is needlessly annoying and homosexual.

Or it might be his circle of friends that are all emo, and he feels like he has to conform to what they do. Try to get him to start hanging out w/ normal people maybe.

Personally I love emos, they rock, I'd rather hear them cry about how bad their life is, instead of them causing self inflicted injuries, and not all emos at like that. I'm an animal rights activist too, and I cry when I hear about animals, being hurt or killed, But yet I'm a sensitive person unlike some people, *ahem*

It's just a teenage thing, all his mates are doing it so he is just following the heard and doing it too. Give it some time, he'll get over it and look back and realise he was just being silly.

Don't try and make him stop as that will make him want to do it more just to annoy you and your father.

I don't hate them. My stepdaughter is starting to "get into" this Emo thing. Kids need to experiment with different things to find out who they really are. They try to shock, and they try to rebel. As long as he is happy, healthy, and drug free, let him try to figure this out on his own. He'll get over it this phase. If not, than perhaps talking to him will help.

I went through it too, but I wasnt the fake emo that cut myself and made it completely obvious

I really was depressed and didnt want to show it.

Just leave him alone, he'll outgrow this phase, like every other "emo" is.

no, I dont hate them....sometimes I get kinda disappointed coz I cant tell which ones are males which ones are females...they are way too ambigious.

You cant make people stop unless youre some sort of a Hitler, dont worry about it...do your own thing and stop worrying about other peoples expression...perhaps your jealous?
